Keeley Squires joined WDSC at the ripe age of 8years old with Honey. When she joined the club she had only just learned to ride Honey and had not competed at many shows. As WDSC do as they do fetching on young riders, she ended up winning Overall Winner of the Presentation evening in 1990, on Honey, then 1991 on Honey, 1992 on Honey, 1993 on Honey, 1994 on Cappie, 1995 on Cappie. Then went to the next level, and competed at a very high level. Over the years she was a committee member, then work committments as an riding instructor, and having to run a yard could not commit herself to be on the committee. She is now trained to be a horse phiso and a qualified Judge. She still has to find time for her own four horses which one is Honey, sadley she lost Cappie last year. Her and Lilly had a great time at PUK and did extremely well. Her partner, Jamie, competed with Lilly In-Hand. Keeley competed with Lilly in several classes. Which one was the Pony Club class, PUK is a very high standard. With 26 in her class Keeley did terrific to be placed 5th in one of the biggest classes. We are very proud to say that Keeley Squires is one of our long lasting members and hope that she carries on doing the well in coming years, as she teaches a lot of our members who are always in the ribbons, that one day history will repeat itself.
